|Locality||Southrn Sierra Nevada Foothills. Upper Bidwell Park, approximately 2.5 air km east of Horseshoe Lake. Directly west of Upper Trail where it crosses a small perennially damp drainage north of the Bear Hole.|
|Habitat||Growing in moist gravel in the understory of Quercus douglasii with abundant non-native annual grasses. Odther associates include Artemesia douglasiana, Sidalcea calycosa subsp. calycosa, Toxicodendron diversilobum and Hypericum perforatum. Plants exhibit a perennial growth form with trailing stems rooting at the nodes; plants scattered. Annual form of the species occurs nearby on more open and rocky slopes.|
