Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. West side of lower Thompson Valley 1.1 mi N of the mouth of McReynolds Creek at Red Clover Creek. Sagebrush meadowy flats on W side of Thompson Creek, ca 30 ft SW of the channel, 500 to 550 ft below edge of open Ponderosa-Jeffrey pine forest.

HabitatIn sparsely vegetated dry flat with Elymus elymoides, Epilobium brachycsrpum, Crepis modocensis var. subacaulis, Antennaria luzuloides, Eriogonum vimineum, Cayophytum diffusum var. parviflorum, and scattered Artemisia arbuscula.
