Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; Happy Valley, about 6.4 air-km northeast of Cromberg; along Long Valley Creek in the southwest corner of Happy Valley (the lower corner of the meadow complex).

HabitatMoist medow surrounded by forest of white fir and Jeffrey pine, with lodgepole pine at edges and into the meadow. Low shrubs 2-4 dm tall, not yet in flowe; occasional adjacent to roads and dry openings.
