Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; Placer Diggings along Pine Gove Creek, just north of Pine Grove Cemetery, 1.3 air-km west-northwest of Howland Flat.

HabitatGenerally northwest sloping tailings -- cobbles, gravels and sand; scattered 15-25 m tall Ponderosa pine, occasional Douglas-fir; wet places with willows and cottonwood sometimes dense. Some dry open ground almost bare, some thick with Acmispon americanus. Occasional denseclumps of this aorund edges of small dry settling pond.
