|Locality||Central High Sierra Nevada. At a pair of small shallow snow-melt ponds on the crest between the head of Virginia Lakes Basin and the southeastern head of East Fork Green Creek; drains northwest to Green Creek.|
|Habitat||Wide flat meadowy edges of the ponds, very rocky (metavolcanic substrate) with only low vegetation, much of which is just beginning to grow post-snow-melt; the soil/ground is very organic. Plants common; flowering branches generally erect 4-8 cm above the ground; flowers +-bowl-shaped, bright pink/lavender.|
