HabitatRocky flat mountain top; bedded hard metamorphic rock, mostly bare rocky and gravelly ground with scattered white fir, Ponderosa pine, huckleberry oak, patches of green-leaf manzanita. Plants common here; flowers bright yellow; plants with an anise smell.
