Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Southwestern spur of Rocky Ridge, 0.6 air km south of Batchelor Point; along Road 23N06E 0.8 road km southeast of Rim Road/Ponderosa Way.

HabitatSouthwest-sloping rocky serpentine slope' burnned over by wildfire in 2008; open Jeffrey pine and incense cedar dominated forest with lots of manzanita in the openings, plus lots of Frangula californica subsp. tomentella, Umbellaria californica. Most plants past flowering, blue green, with numerous +-erect stems from a buried caudex, common.
