Locality Northern Sierra Nevada Foothills. From Highway 20 north of Nevada City drive 5 miles to Scotts Flat Road then 4 miles to Gate 2 of the recreation area. Trail is located on the north shore of Scotts Flat Reservoir, near the beginning of the trail weat of the Marina. The trail follows an unused irrigation ditch an Sidalcea gigantea grown in several large colonies along the ditch and hillside seeps above it.

HabitatAlong irrigation ditch and hillside seeps. Grows with Rhododendron occidentale, Lonicera involucrata, Alnus, Salix sp., Equisetum arvense, Pinus ponderosa, Quercus kelloggii. Not flowering at time of collection.
