HabitatDry meadow. Occurring with Achnatherum lemmonii, Bromus hordeaceus, Vulpia microstachys. Occurring in gravelly sandy clay. This population was found occurring in an 11 m X 6 m stand with relatively even, dominant cover over the stand. No other specimens of this species were observed in the. In spite of some areas of relatively high disturbance in the meadow due to administrative and recreation use, the species was only found in a relatively undisturbed part of the roughly 3 hectare meadow.
