Locality Central High Sierra Nevada. Top of ridge on southeast side of the head of Sugarpine Creek (Stoddard Spring) 200 m southeast of Hwy 108.

HabitatNarrow but rounded top of open ridge; rock outcrop and shallow mineral gravelly rocky mostly bare soil; Tuscan Medflow or similar (volcanic) substrate. Flowers light yellow, slightly creamy-yellow; plants 5-10 cm high not counting the inflorescence; common here.
