|Locality||Hirtz Mountain. Found on steep limestone outcrops. UTM NAD 83 Zone 10N; 0563472E, 4527750N.|
|Habitat||Found on steep limestone outcrops in montane chaparral habitat with montane hardwood-conifer inclusions. Plants are scattered in the limestone outcrops; growing in small clumps of 1-4 plants or as single individuals, northerly aspect, 30-40 plants observed. Most plants are growing in cracks in nearly vertical rock and occasionally in other soil pockets. Associated species include Calocedrus decurrens, Quercus chrysolepis, Pinus sabiniana, Cercocarpus betuloides, Holodiscus discolor, Philadelphus lewisii, Adiantum jordanii, Arabis breweri var. breweri, Elymus elymoides, Erysimum capitata, Galium bolanderi, Gilia capitatum, and Lomatium sp.|
