Locality Southeast side of summit of Little Shoeinhorse Mountain on metasedimentary rock outcrops and cliffs. UTM NAD 83 Zone 10N; 0578572E, 4547558N.

HabitatOn metasedimentary rock outcrops and cliffs. 250 plants observed growing in rock crevices along cliff faces. Associated species include Arctostaphylos patula, Quercus vaccinifolia, Garrya fremontii, Epilobium canum, Eriogonum sp., Penstemon azureus, Penstemon newberryi, Arabis breweri, Ericameria sp., Eriogonum nudum, Phacelia sp., Potentilla glandulosa, Polygala cornuta, Eriophyllum lanatum, Gilia capitata, Lomatium dissectum, Allium campanulatum, Calyptridium umbellatum, Elymus elymoides, and Achnatherum lemmonii.
