Locality Found on metasedimentary rock outcrops and cliffs on northeast slopes of McKenzie Mountain. The plants grow in crevices on cliff faces on easterly and westerly aspects. UTM NAD 83 Zone 10N; 0575440E, 4543631N.

HabitatFound on metasedimentary rock outcrops and cliffs on northeast slopes of McKenzie Mountain. The plants grow in crevices on cliff faces on easterly and westerly aspects, 900 -1000 plants observed. Associated species include Pseudotsuga menziesii, Calocedrus decurrens, Holodiscus discolor, Acer circinatum, Lithocarpus densiflora, Arctostaphylos patula, Quercus vaccinifolia, Smilacina stellata, Eriogonum sp., Sedum spathulifolium, Penstemon newberryi, Pellaea mucronata, Lewisia cotyledon, Heuchera micrantha, and Elymus elymoides.
