Locality Southwest of Devils Rock. Found in steep limestone cliffs. UTM NAD 83 Zone 10N; 0574759E, 4522126N.

HabitatFound in steep limestone cliffs in montane hardwood and mixed chaparral habitat. 1400 plants observed scattered in cracks on nearly vertical rock along a northerly aspect limestone outcrop. Associated species include Quercus chrysolepis, Quercus garryana subsp. breweri, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Physocarpus capitatus, Holodiscus discolor, Cercis occidentalis, Cercocarpus betuloides, Aesculus californica, Clematis lasiantha, Arabis breweri, Heuchera micrantha, Sedum spathulifolium, Gilia capitata, Phacelia sp., Eriogonum sp., Elymus glaucus, Melica californica, Bromus madritensis, Bromus tectorum, and Festuca rubra.
