HabitatDozens of extraordinarily old, large wild specimens (up to 9 m tall, 9 m wide, trunks up to 20 cm thick). Growing among Picea sitchensis, Alnus rubra, Rhamnus purshianus, Polystichum munitum, Sambucus racemosa var. pubens, Maianthemum dilatatum, Cotoneaster pannosus, C. simonsii.
