Habitat | Almost flat opening in McNab cypress thicket; rocky serpentine ground; with Erythronium multiscapoideum, Sanicula tuberosa, Mimulus bicolor, not much else. Thousands of these plants were in 15m X 15m area, not seen elsewhere here; flowers white to very pale pink with coarse maroon midveins on backs of tepals; anthers dark maroon. |
