Locality North Coast Biodiversity Arena; Rhyolitic ash flat on Ink Grade approx. 2 miles N of Angwin. Unusual variation in the leather oaks, approaches Q. berberidifolia Liebm. but individuals very variable as in Q. durata. Q. berberidifolia not seen in area-mostly is at lower elevation.
