HabitatLake faces s.w. on step in 1500' glacial canyon. Sparse stands small Pinus albicaulis, P. Murrayana, some Tsugas around lake; latter two to 10,500' protected slopes; P. monticola with them s. and e. slopes; P. albicaulis Krumholtz to 11,500' crests where footholds. This Carex with C. exserta and Muhlenbergia filiformis in low area s. of the 15' rocky ridge paralleling the outlet of lake.
