NotesNote by S. Galen Smith from June 1996 states: Immature. Intermediate between the putative parents. Much like J. McMurphey s.n. (fruit), Pajaro R. 1909 (DS). This is one of 6 specimens, all from California, I have seen of this hybrid from North America. It is somewhat similar to B. novae-anglieae, known only from the Atlantic Coast (see Browning et al. Brittnonia 14: 433-445. 1995).;
