HabitatGrowing in rocky areas. Canadian Life Zone with Pinus contorta latifolia, P. monticola, Tsuga mertensiana, and Abies. sp. as common tree species. Alnus rhombifolia thickets along and in meadow. Granite boulders and outcroppings common except in meadow.
