HabitatBroad wash through rolling hills, sloping about 5 deg. , facing S18W to S15E. Quarternary alluvium between hills of Tertiary Basal Owl Conglomerate (Barstow Formation). Clay, sand, and gravel soil. 2.5 Y 4/2 dark grayish brown. With Ericameria paniculata, Larrea tridentata, Eriogonum deflexum, Atriplex confertifolia, Ambrosia dumosa, Ambrosia salsola, Lepidium fremontii, Stephanomeria pauciflora, Eriogonum inflatum, Yucca brevifolia, Atriplex polycarpa, A. hymenelytra, Lepidospartum squamatum.
