Locality Eastern edge of the Cit of Woodland; property owned by City of Weedland. N of Gibson Rd extension on E side of Pole Line Rd (County Rd 102); N of existing sewer plant in an area that once had evaporation ponds

HabitatArea was recently used as borrow pit for the raised soil slab that has been prepared for the Woodland-Davis water treatment plant construction project (for clean drinking wter). Borrow pit is just S of that slab. Soil is Pescadero silty clay, saline, alkaline soil high in salts and boron. Water table is high and so drainage ditches that cross area E to W are filled with water. Plants have come up from the seed bank, including Atriplex rosea, Amaranthus albus, Crypsis, Heliotropium, Sesuvium verrucosum, and Chenopodium rubrum.
