Locality Afton Canyon, just E of campground, along the N side of the Mojave River; SW of Cave Mtn, N end of the Cady Mtns, E of Dunn

HabitatAlkaline flat along river, generally sloped 2 degrees, facing N68E. Clay and silt soil with some gravel, color 7.5YR 3/1 (very dark gray). Quaternary river sediment, surrounded by hills of Quaternary alluvium and Tertiary volcanic fanglomerate and gravel. Alkaline scrub with Pluchea sericea, Atriplex polycarpa, Distichlis spicata, Prosopis glandulosa torreyana, Phoradendron californicum; with Salix and Juncus along river.
