Locality Southern Whipple Mountains, just S of the Colorado River Aqueduct near the old Needles Parker Rd, WNW of Vista Peak, SSW of Riverview Mine

HabitatRolling hillsides. Area generally S-facing, but aspect varies locally. Plants growing mostly on E- to S-facing slopes. Slope 0--20 degrees. Holocene and Pleistocene alluvium and Miocene andesite (lava and breccia flows). With Tetracoccus hallii, Hyptis emoryi, Bebbia juncea aspera, Larrea tridentata, Encelia farinosa, Chamaesyce setiloba, Ambrosia dumosa, Bouteloua aristidoides, Bouteloua barbata, Opuntia basilaris, Cylindropuntia echinocarpa, Boerhavia wrightii.
