HabitatGranitic boulders and faces common. Dominant trees include: Pinus contorta latifolia, P. monticola, P. albicaulis, Juniperus occidentalis, Tsuga mertensiana, and Abies magnifica. Common shrubs include: Arctostaphylos nevadensis, Acer glabrum, Quercus vaccinifolia, Populus tremuloides, Alnus tenuifolia, Sorbus sitchensis, Amelanchier glabra, and Spiraea densiflora. Level sandy areas among boulders.
