Locality Mojave Desert; East Mojave Desert region: Orange Blossom wash area in alluvial basin between central portion of Bristol Mountains on west and northern end of Marble Mountains on east along gas pipeline road, west of Kelbaker Road, south of Interstate 40.

HabitatBroad alluvial valley with braided sandy washes and areas of relateively barren dark cobbly desert pavement. Open scrub of Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Encelia frutescens, Acacia greggii, Yucca schidigera, Cylindropuntia ramosissima, Cylindropuntia acanthicarpa, and Krameria. Many summer annuals present, incl. Pectis papposa, Amaranthus fimbriatus, Bouteloua aristidoides, Aristida adscencionis, and Boerhavia, also abundant seedlings of winter annuals, including Plantago erecta, Erodium texanum, Chorizanthe rigida, Chaenactis spp., Cryptantha spp., Camissonia spp.
