macromorphologySlightly suffrutescent perennial; three robust plants. Multi-stemmed erect plants to 9 dm tall and 4-5 dm across, but only a few flowers present, these on delicate stems at bases of plants. [Leaves and inflorescenes broader that in Davidson's type, but these plants approach it much more closely than they do Gn. microcephalum Nuttall.] Isolated plants of Gn. beneolens seen sporadically along the barren ridgetops between Fox and Condor Peak, none of them in flower.
