HabitatArea partly destroyed by road building. Serpentine fields bordered by chaparral, serpentine soil. Grasslands with Layia platyglossa, Orthocarpus densiflorus, Lasthenia glabrata, Chaetopappa bellidiflora, Eschscholzia californica, Delphinium variegatum, Brodiaea pulchella, B. terrestris, Gilia tricolor as the common species.
