HabitatSerpentine fields bordered by chaparral. Area partly destroyed by road building. Serpentine soil. Grasslands with Layia platyglossa, Orthocarpus densiflorus, Lasthenia glabrata, Chaetopappa bellidiflora, Eschscholzia californica, Delphinium variegatum, Brodiaea pulchella, B. terrestris, Gilia tricolor as the common species.
