HabitatSlopes with mature stands of Adenostoma sparsifolium, Ceanothus greggii perplexus, Adenostoma fasciculatum, and Gutierrezia sarothrae on thin soils over granitic bedrock with exensive boulder outcrops. Shallow draws with stands of Muhlenbergia rigens, Lonicera subspicata, Rosa californica and Rhus trilobata on sandy benches bordered by Quercus agrifolia woodland. Occasional about boulder outcrops on slopes.
