Voucher information | macromorphology | Very compact flat or convex cushions 1--3 dm. across; perianth varies from greenish white to rose-red, but only 1 color on 1 plant, or, sometimes, a plant may mildly combine the colors on different peduncles (intermediates due to heterozygosity?); flower-stalks vary from only 1 cm. in length on some plants to 3 or 4 cm. on others. These differences appear gene-controlled, but all obviously belong in one taxonomic subunit. | other label numbers | DS259001 | verbatim elevation | 11400-11800 ft | |
