Elevation 30 m
HabitatSoil sandy. Protected from the cold winds by dense Quercus and Ceanothus. Growing with A. cruzensis (low plants), A. hookeri ssp. hearstiorum and Baccharis.

macromorphologyErect stout shrub, 1.25 m high, 2 m wide; no lignotuber. Only one tall pl. seen, ovary pubescent, may not be distinct from A. pajaroensis.
