NotesNote from Tracy dated April 8, 1936: 8277. Carex exsicacata Bailey I have attempted to separate C. exsiccata from C. vesicaria on a geographical basis. The plants at low altitudes along the coast are plain exsiccata. A few specimens from high altitudes back in the interior I am satisfied to call vesicaria. Those from intermediate localities are mostly intermediate in character and might be referred either way. This is one of them. JP Tracy Apr 8 1936;
