HabitatGrowing in open loose sandy terrace in wash. E-flowing narrow drainage cut into desert pavement, rocky-sandy soils, metamorphci parent materials. Colorado Desert Galleta Grass Wash. Associated species: Larrea, Ambrosia dumosa, Encelia farinosa, Cylindropunti echinocarpa, Krameria grayi, Pleuraphis rigida, Lupinus arizonicus, Cryptantha barbigera, C. nevadensis, Camissonia boothii condensata, Rafinesquia and Brassica tournefortii.
