Habitat10,200' on 2nd rocky canyon step. Canyon broad, glaciated. 11,600' cliffs s.e.; immediate cliffs n. w. & n. about 500'. Few small Pinus albicaulis on bench, Krumholtz scattered to 11,500' where footholds. Potentilla on moist sodded area above stream on w. side. Another Potentilla (1517) occasional.
