HabitatConfined to very small areas at periphery of small vernally wet serpentine meadow in chaparral/Cupressus sargentii assn. Soil of gravelly cobbles, sand & clay. Habitat very specialized ca 100-150 plants in 2 small areas near each other. Only natural damage due to gophers & dodder seems to present any threat.
