Locality Salmon Muontains, Klamath National Forest. Near South Fork of Salmon river, 5 to 9 miles southeast of Cecilville,

HabitatDominant forest trees include: Pseudotsuga taxifolia, Pinus ponderosa, P. lambertiana, Quercus kelloggii, Q. chrysolepis, and occasionally Arbutus menziesii and Libocedrus decurrens. Understory of Arctostaphylos spp., Rhamnus sp., Ceanothus sp., and Rhus diversiloba and drier more exposed slopes: Cornus nuttallii, Acer macrophyllum, and Alnus rhombifolia along river adn in moist areas. Froest floor dry at this season: few herbaceous plants. Schist outcroppings common. On unstable slope in open. Flowers yellow. One-tenth of clone represented by this sheet.
