Note: Although Murray, in his list of algae from Pakistan, accredited the name Callithamnion corymbosum to "Ag.'', it seems certain that he had in mind the present species, which is a recognized member of the North Atlantic flora (see Maggs & Hommersand, 1993: 124). It is not possible, however, to determine what alga he had in hand.
