Note: Harvey (1855b: 565) initially used the name Cladophora anastomosans without a description. The conspecificity of Struvea delicatula and S. anastomosans was proposed by G. Murray & Boodle (1888b: 281), who, however, erroneously adopted the younger name.

Addendum: This species was assigned to Phyllodictyon by Kraft & Wynne (1996: 139).
