Micropeuce sarcocaulon (Harvey) Kylin ex P. Silva.

INDIAN OCEAN DISTRIBUTION: Australia.

Note: Although Kylin (1956: 660, 672) intended to transfer Lophocladia sarcocaulon to Micropeuce, he did not cite the basionym and its place of publication and thus failed to satisfy Art. 33.2. The invalid name was subsequently used by V. May (1965: 378). The combination is validated herein. Two other combinations in Micropeuce were unsuccessfully attempted by Kylin:

Micropeuce feredayae

(Harvey) Kylin ex P. Silva, comb. nov. Basionym: Dasya feredayae Harvey (1859b: 303; type locality: George Town, Tasmania).

Micropeuce mucronata (Harvey) Kylin ex Oliveira, 1977: 149. Basionym: Dasya mucronata Harvey (1853: 63; type locality: Key West, Florida, U.S.A.).

Addendum: Micropeuce sarcocaulon (Harvey) Kylin ex P. Silva and M. feredayae were validated in Silva, Basson, & Moe (University of California Publications in Botany 79: 528. 1996).
