Note: In describing Prionitis wentii, the host of this alga, Weber-van Bosse (1921: 244) mentioned the "parasite'' under the name Microcladia kampenii, without giving a description. Kylin (1956: 381) suggested that Herpochondria henriettae and H. kampenii perhaps are representative of an undescribed genus.
