Note: Drouet (1968: 135, 139) chose a specimen in PC as the lectotype of Microcoleus tenerrimus and assigned it to Schizothrix. Among numerous taxonomic synonyms cited by Drouet are Microcoleus acutissimus Gardner and Oscillatoria claricentrosa Gardner, which are listed separately in this catalogue (the latter as Geitlerinema claricentrosum (Gardner) Anagnostidis & Komárek).
