INDIAN OCEAN DISTRIBUTION: Bangladesh, India, Mozambique, Sri Lanka.

Note: Drouet & Daily (1956: 87), on the basis of the original description, assigned this species to Agmenellum quadruplicatum (Meneghini) Brébisson (1839: 35) (Trochiscia quadruplicata Meneghini, 1837: 334; type locality: Euganean thermal springs, near Padova, Italy). The latter species has not been reported from the Indian Ocean.
