Initial Editorial Comments in no way mentioned in Munz, Munz Supplement, The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]; indicated for CA, se US in Kartesz & Meacham; reported as Sesbania tripletii Host in Best, et al., with Sesbania punicea listed as syn; Sesbania tripetii (sic) (Poit.) Hubb indicated as synonym of Sesbania punicea in Kartesz & Meacham; according to Source d, in California naturalized outside of wildlands, yet conditions of cited occurrences evidently qualify for inclusion in the flora according to criteria employed by Jepson Flora Project (14 Feb 2003). [According to Matt Lavin (pers. comm., 24 Feb 05) and International Plant Names Index-Index Kewensis, Sesbania tripetii is correct spelling; according to IPNI-Index Kewensis, correct author citation is Sesbania tripetii Hort. ex F. T. Hubbard.]
