Correspondence 1 indicates that Rupertia physodes was published by James W. Grimes (J. W. Grimes in Authors of Plant Names) in Memoirs of the New York Botanical Garden 61: 53. 1990, and that the basionym, Psoralea physodes, was published in Hooker, Flora Boreali-Americana 1(3): 136. 1831, wherein Hooker ascribed the name to Douglas [Douglas in Authors of Plant Names] in the index and quoted the Latin description from "Douglas, MSS. in Herb. Hort. Soc.", [so that Douglas is to be cited as the author of Psoralea physodes]. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Rupertia physodes (Douglas) J. W. Grimes, from Rupertia physodes (Hook.) J. W. Grimes previously in this Index, 6 Apr 2006.]
