Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 5 Jun 2008 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Lomatium dissectum var. multifidum was published by Mathias & Constance in Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club 69(3):246 (1942), based on Leptotaenia multifida published by Torrey & Gray in A Flora of North America 1(4):630 (1840), and that Torrey and Gray ascribed the name to "Nutt.! mss." and quoted Nuttall's description as well. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Lomatium dissectum (Torr. & A. Gray) Mathias & Constance var. multifidum (Nutt.) Mathias & Constance, from Lomatium dissectum (Torr. & A. Gray) Mathias & Constance var. multifidum (Torr. & A. Gray) Mathias & Constance previously in this Index, 9 Jun 2008.]
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted since The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] see Comment 2
