Correspondence 1 indicates that Eustoma exaltatum was published by George Don 1798--1856 (G. Don in Authors of Plant Names) in A General History of the Dichlamydeous Plants 4:211 (1837), and that the International Plant Names Index-Gray Card Index entry explains "Salisbury (Parad. Lond. sub t. 34. 1806) assigned Gentiana exaltata Linnaeus to Eustoma, but did not make the comb. nov." [Therefore, author citation corrected to Eustoma exaltatum (L.) Salisb. ex G. Don, from Eustoma exaltatum (L.) Don previously in this Index, 28 Jun 2006.]
