Editorial Comments 1
|
Correspondence 1 indicates that Ericameria ericoides was published by Jepson (Jeps. in Authors of Plant Names) in A Flora of Western Middle California 559. 1901, wherein Jepson ascribed the name to "Nutt." but provided his own description, and that the basionym was Diplopappus ericoides, published by Lessing (Less. in Authors of Plant Names) in Linnaea 6(1): 117-118. 1831. [Therefore, author citation expanded to Ericameria ericoides (Less.) Nutt. ex Jeps., from Ericameria ericoides (Less.) Jeps. previously in this Index, 16 Apr 2007.]
