Source of Report for California The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 12 Feb 2003 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that UC62593, collected July 3, 1894, by Barker and Nutting, s. n., (Dixie Peak, Dixie Mtns., Lassen Co.) vouchers this species on the Modoc Plateau, so that MP is to be added to the range given in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1].
Correspondence 2 16 Dec 2013 e-mail from Alan R. Smith see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that all of the California spp. included in Cheilanthes in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] have been moved to Myriopteris (Grusz & Windham, 2013, PhytoKeys 32: 49–64, doi: 10.3897/phytokeys.32.6733, which includes all new and resurrected combinations in Myriopteris), so that Myriopteris intertexta (Maxon) Grusz & Windham may become the accepted name for Cheilanthes intertexta (Maxon) Maxon.
