(1824), based on Aira macrantha Ledeb. (1815), and Koeleria pyramidata (Lam.) P. Beauv. (1812), based on Poa pyramidata Lam. (1791), are the same species, for which the earlier epithet at the rank of species is pyramidata, so that [according to Art. 11.4 of ICBN, Melbourne Code] the correct name is Koeleria pyramidata (Lam.) P. Beauv. [with therefore as synonyms Aira macrantha Ledeb., Koeleria macrantha (Ledeb.) Schult, and Poa pyramidata Lam.], a species in which Koeleria pyramidata (Lam.) P. Beauv. subsp. pyramidata is recognized for plants in temperate parts of Eurasia and North America including CA.
